Think about your nearest shops.

Take the big supermarket chains out of the equation. I’m talking about little independent shops.I live in a community that is on the up. The high street is awash with creativity and is truly vibrant. They hold markets all down the high street and people travel from all over. The local shops, pubs and restaurants and services all come together and the local residents come in droves to enjoy a day, eating gorgeous food, having a pint or an ice cream. Everyone has a genuinely fun day🥳.

They have themed weeks where they create amazing scarecrows who sit outside their buildings and the whole high street and the local community participate.
For Pride, the high street was awash with rainbows and rainbow flags 🌈

At Christmas, there are trees all decorated beautifully outside the shops too🎄. A special note also goes out to the brilliant window artist who paints all the high street windows with amazing pictures 👌, and thanks too, to those who spend hours knitting scenes for the post boxes, that create an extra creative element.

This is truly a quaint English town, nestled halfway between the iconic cities of Liverpool and Manchester. The home of the Vulcan Foundry. Our soundtrack is undoubtedly Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ (he grew up here). We have the towering Nine Arches bridge and the Sankey canal and a plethora of motivated, inspired small businesses throughout.

I’m proud of Newton le Willows and proud of what both @The High Street Hive and the community have achieved…so far!
